Weddings - How far ahead should I book my wedding cake? Wedding season can be very busy, and we limit the number of cake orders per weekend in order to maintain our high quality. Reserve your date early! We have booked some dates as far as a year in advance. Please be advised that a non-refundable deposit is required on all wedding cakes. Dates will not be held without a deposit. How do we go about setting up an appointment? Please contact us by phone or e-mail, and we will schedule an appointment to discuss your wedding cake. Appointments generally take about an hour. Please bring pictures, color swatches, and your ideas to our meeting! You will have an opportunity to sample cakes, fillings and frostings at this wedding consultation. Do you deliver your wedding cakes? YES! We deliver and set up your wedding cake at your reception location. Parties - Birthdays, Anniversaries, Showers, Etc.... How far in advance should I book my party cake? As soon as you know the date of your party, you are welcome to place your order. We only take so many orders each weekend, but there are weeks that are slower than others. If we can help you on short notice, we will. Do you deliver party cakes? No, unfortunately, we don't deliver party cakes unless they are 3 tiers or more and require assembly on site. How much do your decorated cakes cost? Each cake is priced on an individual basis, with a minimum price of $60 for decorated party cakes. Dessert cakes and coffee cakes are priced differently than decorated cakes, please e-mail for more information. How do I go about placing an order for a party cake? You can either call us or e-mail us for information. Please include the date of your party and an estimated number of guests. We try to respond within the first 24 hours, but as the weekend approaches, it may take a bit longer. If you don't hear from us within 48 hours, please feel free to contact us again (there is always a chance your e-mail is lost in cyberspace, or landed in our Spam folder). Do you require a deposit on party cakes? Some orders do require a deposit to hold the date. Please be advised this deposit is non-refundable; this deposit amount is applied to the total cost of your cake. The deposit must be received by us within 5 days of your placing an order. Can I sample your cakes before I place an order for a party cake? We are a custom cake shop, and we don't hold baked goods "in stock". Each cake that is ordered is baked specifically for the customer that has ordered it. You are welcome to order a small cake, or to see what others have said please visit our "customer comments" page. How do I know what size cake to order? When we discuss your cake order, we will talk about how many guests you are expecting, if you are having a full meal, other desserts, etc... and we will guide you to an appropriate size for your party. Do you do the popular kids character cakes? Due to copyright laws, we can't duplicate the licensed characters. The best we can do is color coordinate, or design a cake that will work with small toys or candles that you provide. Do you accept debit / credit cards? Sorry, cash, checks and money orders are the only form of payment accepted at this time. Please be advised that if your check is returned due to insufficient funds, you will be responsible for immediate payment plus a returned check fee of $20. |
